I’m not sure how many blog posts I’ve started in the past few months.
I may have been a little preoccupied with life.
Or lives.
Two new lives in particular.
Twins. Yes, TWINS.
To quote from someone royal (or was it Mrs Thatcher? – eek) – “We have become a grandmother.”
A visit from my daughter for ‘motherly advice’ towards the end of 2025 took an unexpected turn; what would normally have likely been a plea for financial or employment advice turned out to be an announcement of impending multiplication. She already knew it was twins. She already knew they would be identical. Remarkable.
She later told her father. We said all the right things (I think).
We picked ourselves up off the floor gradually over the ensuing months and by the time the little ladies arrived in June it seemed like this was normal.
Hahahahaha.
I’ll maybe write a few anecdotes here in due course. In the meantime, it seems my website is so out of date I am almost unable to create anything, so I will knuckle down and try to sort that out first. À bientôt!
